I have a question: when he says? he's contractually bound to machinima for life, what does that mean? Does that mean that any video production he does is under the control of machinima, or that only his channel(s) are under their control? Couldn't he just make a new channel, promote it on his old one, close the old account and move on with his youtube career? Would this work, or am I missing something here?

Yeah ethicly its wrong but Machinima made these contracts because it was in their best interests. Its kind of like throwing a crazy offer out there to? see if anyone will bite. This dude is one of the fools. Natural Selection.

Well, his fans would know why he did it..? And tbh. I rather make bullshit videos and get bad reputation with a little amount of people to get off the contract that ruins my life in some sort of way. Then staying into it. Life long contract should be illigal.

i dont get this shit some1 explain pls ... im raging soon i dont get the vid? of braindeadly too with the contract and i dont understand the contract either ...
By: HappyCabbie. on 09 May 12, 19:13:20
While I agree that he should have read the contract do? understand the morals of a multi-million dollar corporation offering this kind of a deal to someone who looks like they just hit puberty. A multi-year contract is reasonable, however I am calling fowl on the ethics of a lifetime contract that you can not get out of.

I wanted to come here after a few hours to see what the comments were but I really need to say this right now. It was his own fault. He didn't read the? contract and sure, it really sucks that that happened to him, but in the end it was his own fault. I'm actually really disappointed that everyone is acting like this towards the kid though.

was thinking? i would love to go with them sometime... not anymore.
By: HappyCabbie. on 09 May 12, 01:11:20
That is being worked on, it is an issue they are aware of.? However my best advice is to film your webcam videos onto your computer then upload to YouTube. Most of my 2011 and 2008 videos were done using a webcam.

I? don't think he wants to do that. Make poor quality stuff, it might effect him elsewhere.
By: AtheistIsland. on 09 May 12, 00:24:45
He could? always do what you did!
By: riotguards. on 09 May 12, 00:07:09
could he not? just make some really bad videos to get off Machinima? or at least be a bad reputation on Machinima that they'd want to terminate his contract or is there more to it than meets the eye?
By: WarcraftAzraman. on 09 May 12, 00:01:20
I know all the story behind that bullshit, friend of mine on Facebook, quite shameful they'd tie Ben into the contract permanently. Doesn't? set a good name for Machinima.

Braindeadly?

He wants to leave to be sponsered by curse. They cater towards the videos he makes a lot? more than machinima.

1. There are "For life" contracts. 2. Can I see this scam Braindeadly and Icematikx committed through skype? 3. You can change your skype name? to whatever you want, so it wouldn't be hard to create a false conversation.
By: HappyCabbie. on 08 May 12, 23:26:55
The contract in question was leaked via Reddit. It is? now in the video description
By: HappyCabbie. on 08 May 12, 23:19:07
According to the director's contract his term is for life and only? Machinima can chose to terminate it. He can't. (Section 9) He is not being forced to do videos as there is no specified quota in the contract that he has to meet. However he just wants to leave their network for whatever reason, probably money, and he can't.
