no offense at all. First of all, Yangchen Lhamo is unbeatable, secondly I didn't do that well. I was very tired that night and did not perform nearly as well as I had hoped to. So, no offense at all :-) i actually have to agree with you. I was? under a lot of stress and very tired when this was recorded so the quality is not so great.

I don't want to offend you in any way. But I guess? I have a mixed feeling about the quality of rendition in this case, although I am not an expert to pass my judgment. Perhaps Yangchen Lhamo was too good for a comparison. However I must say Amalia had sung some other nice songs.

Oh yeah, Tsangyang Gyatso was a rebel in so many ways! Now there is a huge fight over the Tawang region between India and China because of that. The Monpa are known for their poems? you know wylie spelling? That's great! That means i can type? to you in Tibetan. Haha please don't excuse for your accent! It sounds great. Did you know Tsangyang Gyatso was the only Dalai Lama ever to be born outside what is considered 'Tibet'?? He was a Monpa, born near Tawang. That explains his great poetry haha! Oh yeah, when following the Tibetan it's thrung thrung with H ('khrung). Thanks.

I´ve seen Tibetians use the Mandoline here on youtube. Do they, the Tibetans tune the Mandoline like the Dramyen & use it as a substitute for that instrument ? (The Mandoline must be much less expensive). Someone said that the standard Dramyen tuning is B-E-A. (or raise it up to C-F-A#? or C#-F#-B,? depending on the song being played). One of my favorite Tibetan songs... well done indeed! It's? really impressive to see a true blooded westerner sing and play this tricky song better than a Tibetan (me)! I guess it's the same shock Indians feel when they hear me speak hindi. Yet another example of how cultural divides are breaking down with the current generation of youth! Keep it up!!

Do you know the Dubye? The Dubye or blue cuckoo bird of snow land is the best singer in Tibet and he always sings about Tibetan culture and politics. So he has been in the Chinese jail and he was suffering by Chinese police for Tibetan people. Then if you dont trust to me please you will read his songs and then you will understand about him.
