@stickmanbrains Just so to know, what do you call? "handmade" ? Because to me the body isn't really handmade... Except if you call CNC machines "hands" :/ the only thing that is truly handmade is the neck... But for the rest chinese made guitars are pretty much build the same way :) At Gibson they just pay a lot more attention to the details ! ;)

You misread it. 700 guitars per day? built by ONE PERSON is impossible. If you think IT IS possible, you're an idiot. If they were a robot (building 24/7/365), they would spend less than 2 and a half minutes per guitar. In a standard 9-5 work day: 0.77 min per guitar. Do you still think it's possible? I realize you said LuthierS. Gibson isn't a luthier(S), it's a company. It's employees trained to work on ONE STEP of the process. They aren't luthiers. What "LuthierS" do you know building 700/day?

"A Luthier" is ONE Person that builds guitars. Gibson is not "a luthier". Think: you said a luthier that uses machines could build 700/day. ONE PERSON building 700 guitars in 24 hrs only allows them? 2.057 minutes per instrument. Must be high quality and handmade like Gibson, right? 700 Guitars/day built by one person is just impossible and you're an idiot for believing otherwise. Go ask a luthier like Jaden Rose. He uses CNC and STILL doesn't get out 700 per day. Also, Machines Are NOT hands.

Not sure you know what you are talking about mate, You seam to be the victim of marketing stereotypes... Gibson are NOT luthiers, these are employees who are? trained to work on various steps of the procedure and a little search would bring you up to the Gibson factory tour which would then show you the heavy machinery and CNC those guys are using to mass produce their guitars, I wish you could stop comparing the world's leading guitar brand with the work of 1 man who builds 10 guitars per year..

700 guitars daily is very feasible with luthiers that just use simple machinery. And I said: "Gibson's are hand-made too (or at least they are thought to be.)" I never said I was the keeper of the collective knowledge of Gibson. And there are even Standard models for $4,000. Just because a guitar has a different name on it doesn't make it worth more. It depends on other things like age, condition, and? individual sound qualities. Also I never mentioned anything about Anniversary models...
