4:2:2 does not - as? stated at 2:45 - give you a "double color range". It will make every second pixel in a frame have distinct chroma values, whereas AVCHD uses the 4:2:0 chroma subsampling, meaning that every fourth pixel in one frame will have distinct chroma. Please get your semantics right. "Color range" sounds great, but it can't even differ from one video to another. EVERY vid's/image's colors range goes from 0-360 Hue, 0-100 Saturation and 0-100 Brightness. In love with xf100s techspex :)

Great video .. I'm looking to buy the XF100 pretty soon to do some doco work and wondering about which shotgun mike to buy to best? suite the XF100 .. I see the Azden brand that looks interesting. I've noted the models SGM-110 and SGM-1x that review ok .. 1x comes with a stabilizing bracket which i don't think would be utilised.. Any ideas on brands ..models ie. the way to go???

The tutorial is great! Thank You! Following the steps I successfully upgraded to 2 GB, hopefully adding some longevity to my wee little mini. If the performance is no better, well I'm? only out $30. I had a problem with the first power? up. No Dell splash screen only continual beeps. So I reversed the steps checking all the connections and found the new memory stick was not completly seated (one side was not clicked in). After securing it, backtracked my way out, and she booted up. Yay!

does anyone know for certain if you have to remove the wifi card? I think someone at the? factory used locktite to install the screw that holds it in and I can't for the life of me get it out... Thanks for your time and help...great video!
