Yea, I will definitely say something like that in the future. I have always been way too nice to them. One time I was asked that question and I started just guessing. brake lights? signal lights? speeding? The cop said that I "looked like I didn't know where I was going!" It was a small town cop late at night - I had? out-of-state tags and he simply pulled me over for no other reason than to try & get lucky (with a DUI, Drugs, etc). If that ever happens again I will chew their ass.

Every single time I have ever been pulled over the police officer asks me, "Do you know why I pulled you over?"! The oldest way to get you to wave your Fifth Amendment rights right off the bat. The police are trained these tricks? from rookie status - good information!

Not necessarily so. If the person refuses consent to a search, even if drugs were found in the search, his attorney can contest it in court and have the evidence against his client deemed inadmissible because it was obtained without a warrant. Remember, if a cop threatens you that if you don't cooperate they'll do XYZ, it's because the cop NEEDS you to cooperate because he? knows without your consent he doesn't have the legal authority to do it. If he did, he'd have already done it!

You need to get a good fucking lawyer, i got misdemeanor poss./felony? poss. dropped in two seperate occasions due to the ignorance of our local PD, that was 4 years ago, I am now older, therefore knowing more about the law and my rights as an IN resident....NEVER CONSENT TO SEARCHES.....NEVER

The word "does" doesn't always imply an absolute. There are deaths caused by driving under the influence of nothing, therefore driving under?? the influence of nothing does cause deaths. Such wording is not meant to suggest that driving under the influence of nothing will always result in deaths, it simply means that it happens, and is possible.
