that guy in the end is her uncle and not a cousin. He is the son of Guillaume Schuch who was the son of Jacque. Salomie and Jacque? were siblings, their children (Louis and Guillaume) were cousins and their children (JK cowling's mother and that guy in the end) are cousins. So, he is her uncle and not a cousin.

I was thinking the same thing, but along different lines, if she weren't famous I don't think she? would have been able call her "aunty"- I mean she was living in poverty and still couldn't turn to help to her family. I guess they aren't close but are just getting to know each other and sometimes families can be that way. My family is like that. We aren't close but are polite when we meet- maybe once in ten years. ;)

She is as delighted to? know of her family as I was when I did our family history. It's such a touching thing to meet your long lost ancestors and I see she felt it too. I'm so happy for her but I hope she doesn't stop there. With her money and name to open doors to her I'm sure she can continue on for at least a few generations. If you don't know your people yet I encourage you to start ASAP as it only gets harder as the years go by and people with stories die without telling them. God Bless

I don't understand how J.K. Rowling, at her age is now learning about all this now. I? mean, her "Aunty" as she so lovingly put it, has damn near the whole family history preserved. You'd think she would have been introduced to all this history as a child, if she and her "Aunty" are close.

Everyone has different opinion on what's appropriate towards? the remain of the deceased. Some do attach meanings to? graves, be it respect, memory or love while others don't attach them to a physical thing.
