I was kinda pissed by the reaction after voldemort death. Harry potter was just walking around like nothing just happened and almost everyone was just ignoring him. Totally agree with everything you said in this review. I also felt the battle scenes were lacking, the character? arcs were rushed and having seen some of the deleted scenes, I'm shell shocked at what they left out. I did love the break-in to Gringotts though. that sequence was amazeballs!

The complete bypass of the character deaths wasn't even remotely shocking? to me, thanks to Order of the Phoenix. And even with the books, I thought the epilogue was completely unnecessary. Yeah, it revealed a happy ending for everybody, but....I just found it a waste of paper, honestly. It was an ok scene in the movie, but given the choice, I'd stop the movie before it. The epilogue takes away from the mystery of what could be that I enjoy at the end of a series. That's just my opinion, though.

very upset about it. To me the heart of a movie? is the relationships in it, not the bad guy or the battles or the CGI. I'm with you with snape and other emotional scenes, but they left out their emotions toward each other. Ron and hermiony were cheated of an epic end, harry and ginni had no chemistry or meaningful connection before or after this movie. Like you pointed out, the deaths of main characters were not given the proper respect or time on screen. Unsatifying!

He laughed a great deal. Well it wasn't exactly a manical laugh - it sounded like Igor in the Frankenstein movies. And there was even one part he? laughed to his death eaters (after he killed harry), and they responded by laughing back both awkwardly and almost unwillingly. Aren't they supposed to be on his side? I would have sworn they were think along the line of why-the-hell-is-our-dark-lord laughing-like-that, and guess-we-better-laugh-too-or-he'll-kill us-all.

The scene where he killed harry completely threw? me off my seat - he went all "AAAAAVAADDDDAAAA KEEEEEDAAVAAAA!", which sounded all weird and distorted. I mean, aren't you supposed to recite an incantation properly and clearly in order for it to work. Well, that sure wasn't clear, or precise. Maybe Hermione should teach him how to recite the spell first, like she did with ron in the first year.

Personally, I didn't like the portrayal of Voldemort. I think he seemed... well, I don't really know how to describe it, but I may go far enough to say he was almost childish, that a sesame street villain would probably? scare a young kid more. His laughter was exaggerated, and even his spells were a little of a joke.
