Peter Joseph's really opened my mind and I? agree with pretty much everything he says, but there's one thing that confuses me. He says people's behaviour is all based on their culture. How would you explain someone like Jeffrey Dahmer, who was never beaten by his family and never a witness to murder or extreme violence? Maybe I haven't completely understood his point. If so, could someone explain?

The "solution" will only be know after a problem is solved, anything before that are just attempts of solution that need to be tested in practice. I don't see any empirical evidence for the myth of individualism, all the people I know label themselves? as belonging to one group or the other, I would say belonging seems to even be a human need. Most of the problems we see, come from combining social manipulation and individual responsibility. Liberty and property are such contradictory concepts...

I don't think Peter is presenting it as fact, he is actually presenting the weakness of the dogma, that "human nature" has something unchangeable that we just need to accept. Even just the reasonable? doubt shown by this study and many others that relate the environment with crime, expose how ridiculous is the way we deal with aberrant behaviour as a society. It is a lot cheaper (in terms of energy and resources, I talk about real things, not about money) to give food to people than to jail them.

Thanks for the link. My issue is that? Peter asserts it as FACT when actually the best we can do is compare them (pre-Neolithic revolution people) to people today who may live in a similar way to how we think people over 12,000 years ago lived. That isn't sufficient proof! Nowhere near!

He is speaking to people mainly young adults who attend university I am no genius but most professors speak this way n it becomes easy? to understand after awhile Try attending more lectures they r open to the public.
