If you want to check out another blaster like Dave Lombardo (certainly NOTHING wrong with that style of playing) I suggest you check out Derek Roddy's performance at the Modern Drummer Festival... especially the part where he suggests metal fans check out jazz and other forms of music and jazz drummers check? out metal. You can learn a lot from other styles of music and broaden your approach to your genre of drumming. Not everything is bashing away 100%. Dynamics are your friend.

No, when they were performing it would only be the guys in HMC. The armor was hand made? and fitted by each of them. And after years of working out together, they knew just how to swing to make a big hit but not get through the armor to the squishy parts underneath.

This is actually very realistic, I hear people complain every day that knights didnt fight like this that they fought more honorably. But actually knights were trained to kill their enemy however they can, that? is what King Henry V believed, save the poetry for later. Knights grappled, punched, bashed anything that would give them the upper hand.

Sure there is alot of? grappling in harnishfechtens. They made alot of cuts to the armor which is a useless attack against the armor. Most harnishfechtens with longswords is done in half-sword. This makes good controlled thrust easier and you can grapple and disarm from Half-sword. What they are doing is not what is depicted and described in the Fechtbucher.
