I have been saying what this lady is saying for ages, i'm glad that somebody? like her is out there chipping away at the system of foreign aid. The only thing is that she assumes that foreign aid is meant with good intentions, it is not. Foreign aid is intended to pacify African nation and bribe their Heads Of State into repressing their people and remaining out of the world market. It's one big scheme. The interviewer is a complete jackass with jackass questions.

What is the reason of this interview?? Moyo's life or the ideas on her book?
By: TRZbebop675. on 19 Aug 11, 02:28:11
If you're criticizing the interview as being dry: seriously, what else did you expect from CSPAN? Brian Lamb is a dry interviewer and sometimes asks obvious questions, yes, but he? is better than Peter Robinson, who usually just fawns over his guests and seeks to validate their every point.

when she says 'there is no evidence of aid helping african countries developing' ...is she not ignoring the case of? botswana...botswona needed aid initially to help them on the road to taking advantage of their diamonds... yes, they promoted free markets n became more self-sufficient ...but it wasn't like they ignored aid...aid played an importent part in getting them started...and from then on, good governance, free markets and their diamonds hve helped the country to grow.

is it me, or this interviewer doesnt seem to know even the obvious, "why they build roads", "do they just leave them there" *rolling eyes* Also "when? did you exactly think of writing this book" ???? lol why is the purpose of asking this question. I dont know, just listening to him all i can imagine is this narrow minded, limited person... i cant help it

Say it like it is sister !!! Why the west has a single economic model in relation with Eastern Europe ? ,Asia, South America and a completely different model when its come to Africa?. My answer is undeniable racial bigotry

Well, technically that old bitch and others affiliated with the Catholic Church were? the ones that started parading those starving 3rd world babies in the adds and tv commercials across the western world.
By: Lily2U1515. on 27 Nov 10, 05:24:44
I grew up choking down dinner while starving? Biafran babies were paraded across the television screen, not by Mother Teresa and not in Africa, I would probably point to that mass media coverage of that experience as a cultural swing in the misery and suffering market
By: joakeimmcgrath. on 26 Nov 10, 08:31:05
She herself was mostly in India, but her order ran a number of missions around the world,? including Africa.Besides, she was the first to market this cult of misery and human suffering in the 3rd world.
By: Lily2U1515. on 26 Nov 10, 04:26:55
there should be aid to develop? mining etc, but company would rather keep all the profits for themselves, wouldn't it be crazy if say most of the diamond money went back to Africa?
