I have a Kobo touch and I would say it is better than the Nook because the nook looks fat and chunky while the Kobo, oh the? Kobo? It is so light you can hold it in 2 fingers.

@NerfVagus Ohh, okay.? Thanks for that info :)

Both are fairly similar. I like that the Kobo has a basic Sudoku app while the new Nook doesn't. On the other hand, the Nook always looks great while the Kobo will very often have remnants? of other pages left on screen. He did mention it in the video when he was talking about page refreshes(every 1 to 6 pages.) With the Kobo, it happens all the time, that may annoy some people.

Just a little? tidbit of information. You can use the Nook in Canada with no problem at all. I'm not sure on the shipping of the actual Nook though but if you live not too far to the border or have someone you know across the border.. you get the idea.

The Kobo now also has the ability to save notes for highlighted words/sections, just tried it out in the store today, and the firmware update was dated? from Oct 2011 on the display unit.

I disagree with this. The Nook is almost symmetrical, something that I aesthetically prefer. The Kobo has a large amount of space on the bottom, and a small space on top, which I dislike. And I also love the? ergonomics on the Nook.

The side buttons are probably gonna decide it for me.? :D

If you have a nook app on your phone, you do have an option to delete books from your account, thus from your? Nook.

Does? Kobo Touch supports "publiser's formatting" option?
By: ChrisRyde. on 29 Dec 11, 05:06:07
Thanks for the review. I bought the Kobo Touch. I had the Kobo reader and was happy with it but stepped on it lol.? So thought I would upgrade. The Kobo Touch has very little room for your hands. I don't have very big hands so I was a little disappointed. I saw the Nook at Target and the sides are just a little bit bigger. It fits better in the hand. I'm taking back my Kobo Touch tomorrow and getting the Nook.

I heard the dictionary sucks though. For an avid reader...that's A HUGE thumbs down for me.? Barnes and Noble is good at books...who cares if they are a brand name? They are popular for a reason.

kobo looks nicer...but in terms of what is best for me, I? think the nook is best.

Yup, Kobo? Touch was my favorite until I read the thing about the dictionaries. I'm German and I want to read English books but it's pretty useless without a good dictionary I don't wanna get a Kindle and the Sony is glossy .... So I guess I have to wait for the next generation of ereaders .... damn it
By: HrWisch. on 06 Dec 11, 23:36:44
The Kobo? is really a nice reader. Unfortunately the dictionaries are useless crap and there is no way to install better ones. Compared to the high quality Collins dictionaries of the Sony PRS-T1 (which is in the same price range) the Kobo has a serious problem for users that read texts in foreign languages.
