i was afraid there for? a moment, but i remembered i'm dealing with anet here. and judging by my experience with gw1, if they say they aren't gonna allow paying players to have advantage over playing players, that's exactly what they are going to do. gaming philosophy is at the core of anet's creation after all

They've said that? there will be no mounts at launch, possibly not at all, instead you have waypoints (for fast travel) scattered all over the world.

What? about mounts in PvP zones, mainly thinking about W v W v W, and what about in the open world? I haven't actually heard anything about mounts so far when I've read about the game, now when I think about it.

This system is the way to destroy gold sellers. Even they themselves have said so: MarkeeDragon (the Youtube channel) did an interview with? some big muckety-muck in the RTM business who basically laid out what things games do that ruin his ability to make money selling gold, and this sort of system was one of the things he mentioned. You can look up the interview on YouTube, its an interesting perspective on game economies and RMT from the side of one of the 'bad guys'.

lol, buy gear in a round-a-bout way, yet it's immaterial for da pvps XD Reminds me of when Blizz actaully killed twinks, then inccidentally reinvented them. Unexpected side effects incoming. but in seriousness, computer minimums to run this? Wow now fixxed their skittsh handling of players with old comps (crap comps can now go into sw & org freely) and is going ahead with a 64 bit client to start moving forward with graphics for those who can Thats all that separates? this years games.

My point that it wasn't a problem. It's fair because they put in the time, or in the gem's case, money. Well, you are half right, it is to make Anet money, not as though that is? a bad thing. They are a business after all. However, I don't think anyone is claiming that it will fix all mmo problems. The only problem it may fix is gold selling by making it pointless. Everything else in gw2 will fix the other problems, or make entirely new ones, lol.

The money from a higher alt issue is a big problem in established MMORPGs. Just disallow trading from one character to a lower level? one. Fixed. Just to remind folks - the cash shop is for making ANet money, not for 'fixing' problems with MMOs.

there are special pvp gear you can unlock by doing ... pvp, but its? mostly for looks... i find this concept awesome. theres like at least 30 types of pvp gear u can unlock if im not wrong
