Our military and defense agencies aren't protecting our borders. They're spread out all over the world expanding the empire. We could go around all day about this. The question you really have to ask yourself is how far are you willing to go (or rather be told to go) in order to preserve your safety.? You said it yourself; they only have to be lucky once. How many freedoms are you willing to give up? How much of the Constitution are you prepared to destroy so that you can feel less scared?

You're right. I tend to link those two attacks as one. My mistake. However, I stand by the premise of my argument. The terrorist threat is so insignificant that it's completely paranoid to surrender all of your rights in order to protect you from that threat. Scorpions kill 2000 people a year in North America. Are all you pro "War on Terror" people going? to start soaking your socks in gasoline so they don't climb up and bite your candy assees.

Check your history books, Al-Qaeda, and more specifically, Khalid Sheikh Mohammad, not only was the "architect" of 9/11, but also funded the original attacks on the WTC in1993. Although, KSM has admitted to these crimes, AG Eric Holder, wants to allow him a trial in NYC costing 100-200 million. With the economy in the crapper, do you know how many jobs 200? million would provide?

That's what I was trying to say, pretty much. This 500-character limit sucks. However, "values" issues are important. the? problem is that the Dems' values are not as homogeneous as the GOP's. It's just too bad that the Dems can't put aside their pet "issues" long enough to beat the GOP into a bloody paste, like they should have been doing all year long. They wasted a golden opportunity. But, i think they did it on purpose. I hope the whole lot of them get replaced. Shameful.

The Obama legacy for the first year will be that he: 1. Paid off thousands of special interest groups with the pork-filled stimulus package. 2. Despite the above, failed to improve upon the economy with unemployment sinking to somewhere between 10-22%. 3. Put too much time into trying? to buy out votes in the Senate in order to pass the far left legislature of socialized medicine. 4. Did nothing to solve Iran or North Korea, or to improve diplomatic relations around the world. Year One.
