Sometimes you have no choice but to power level. I started as pure mage, but now those skills are about maxed out. The transition to? using low level warrior/thief skills on the now high level enemies is quite difficult. So it's at least good to get the necessary skills up to an acceptable level so I don't get executed at near full health from every enemy in the game.
