We are all born breathing diaphragmatically,? lying down or standing up. There is no difference. The ONLY reason lying down causes you to breath diaphragmatically is because the chest & shoulders are locked out of rising. One can easily do that standing, even sitting. Diaphragm breathing has nothing to do with the stomach. It has to do with your lungs, the diaphragm and intercostal, core musculature. Lying down reinforces a desire to push the stomach muscles forward and that is simply incorrect.

Yeah but lying down is how you breath when you sleep and how your breath when you sleep is the correct way,so if you train yourself to breath that was when your standing up you just have to have good posture and a hard stomach and you can breath? right.... Idk lying down might not help some people but it helps me.

while that is true, to duplicate that natural movement standing is not as easy. So many coaches say "lie on your back to learn? how to breath". The problem is: we don't sing lying on our backs and it teaches singers nothing. Cut out the middle man and learn how to breath diaphragmatically standing up. Its not that difficult.

I'm not a whiz at music theory at all, but basically polyrythms are playing different rhythms at the same time... they are in conflict because they aren't in the same time... its like playing a 5/4 rhythm over a 4/4/ rhythm... in the beginning with the drummer playing the african beat, what hes playing with his left hand is in a different time signatures /rhythm? than his right

Hey guys go easy. You cannot hope to be an expert with a 3 minute you tube clip.? However this shoud be enough to get you into it. Also, this is for musicians who have some experience playing and reading music. If you are one then I really suggest that you "buy" the book. "Polyrhythms The Musicians Guide" ( peter magadini) Also: polyrhythms come from playing "polymeters" ie: playing in two time signatures at the same time. The results of what you play in those time signatures become "polyrhythms"

I do mostly listen to jazz music , i play jazz guitar mostly.I also? played classical piano for ... 13 or 14 years now , since i was a kid actually . but yeah , i do listen to djent a lot . And tons of progressive . And that polyrythm thing is awesome . I use it a lot , since years , in what i play ... And yeah. It's tough to get other musicians to get what i do , sometimes. I had capture nx but for smoe reason when i installed it it changed smoething called the nime data on my photos and? my website wouldnt let me upload to it so i just keep to lightroom now. mind you i do miss the camera settings in the raw file feature that nx has regards Dom Bower

Basically, the more time you do that for, the more you will understand the material, and the better your score (I guess). Thanks for your comment. I underline stuff in books and? then create mind maps from there. No point in writing out copious amounts of notes and then creating a map as the MInd Maps are intended to stop you wasting your time doing that. Yes, I would recommend creating different maps for different chapters and you could then also create another map to summarise all the chapter content if you like. They don't have to be fancy, just a creative way to engage with the information.

That's one thing I think Nolan got right in the making of Dark Knight. Remember how he always changes the story about how he got his scars? That was Nolan's way of saying that His origin doesn't matter, that's not what it's about. He is an? agent of chaos and he's tearing the city apart. Knowing who and why would only diminish his sheer unbridled horribleness :)

In the video game Arkham City, Hugo Strange asks the Joker if he remembers how he came to be like he is... and the Joker (voiced by Mark Hamill) says the story exactly as it is told in the Killing Joke, with some remarquable lines like "I prefer it to? be multiple choice". The only thing we really don't officially know is the real name of the Joker.
