One way would be to stop the name changing after marriage of women n have children carry both parents names.As many are choosing to do in the Western countries. This way irregardless of sex all are equal. Just a thought being an Asian woman have seen many struggle with this issue n seen many who? are not even aware that they are part of the problem when they say 'have one more child I'm sure it will be a boy' n see nothing wrong in that statement.

@matkakulfi - the poor should not be producing kids like factories, irrespective of whether they are boys or girls. Don't give such a f**king silly reasoning to? justify gender determination..the rich can afford many kids..as long as they get proper nutrition, care and education, they are justified to produce kids..but again, nothing justifies foeticide based on gender issues..
