Doesn't 844's whistle sound like N&W 611? Steamboat whistle? The whistles from the other ones during the meet sounded higher pitched than? the 844. I live on the east coast and wish NS would get serious with it's new steam program and run steam more often. Nothing ran on NS this year so far. Also, in PA we have lots of steam on tourist railroads but Reading and Northern's 425 is supposed to return this summer after over 1 year of downtime because it needed repairs. They also own ex-RDG 4-8-4 2102
