I really wish they still made cars like this. Today's cars are cramped, underpowered, and overweight despite being practically made of plastic. Even a Ford Fusion, a "midsize" sedan with AWD can weigh about 4,000 pounds. Today's cars are easy to break too. Accidentally back into? a mailbox? You'd crack your bumper in half. The old cars were comfortable enough for 5 or 6 people to fit in, had plenty of power, and were as solid as a rock. Why can't we build them now?

I have a 1970's olds? cutlass SS, its a 442, with a 350 Rocket engine under hood (Factory), Its a nice candy apple metallic blue, with a black vinyl roof and black leather interior, and i put on 2 str8 thru magna flow mufflers to give it a sound heard from 5 blocks away. Doing some body work on it right now...when im done; Should i put a vid of it up???

Cost for? a liter here is roughly a third of what you pay. That is about two or three times what it cost when this car was new. Sometimes I think your nation is trying to tax itself out of existence.

Yes, you're right, also petrol in US was probably really cheap, nobody cared? how much litres you'll need to feel in. But nowadays in UK it's 1.10 GBP (nearly 2$) per litre, which makes it very uneconomically to run, especially for long trips.

average about 11 or 12 mpg city when properly tuned. maybe 15 to 18 highway. can? be as bad a 8mpg if people mess with them or put holleys on them.

Very roughly you would be talking about 25L for 100km of driving on a good day. That's about ten miles per gallon. Realistically your fuel? economy could be substantially worse than that depending on driving style, engine options, etc. Economy figures weren't published then because nobody cared.
