I like this video, it was really helpful. Not sure if drugs are black and white, though. What if your friends/sense of community is a bunch of peaceful hippie stoners? You still might be able to have a successful family and career/volunteering, and? contribute to society right? We're all addicted to one thing or another: coffee, alcohol, Facebook, stimulation, runner's high. In a way Big Brother and Super Ego helps, yet on the other hand, aren't we being presumptuous in assuming that all people who turn to drugs and violence are hopelessly dependent upon others to keep them in? check? Their religion might become part of their sense of self, and they might develop a tribal mentality because they would fall apart without dogma? Nice video. I think Adler is onto something....in some ways, the movement towards social interest seems like a movement towards maturity/community and away from narcissism and despair. With regards to religion, I think it is true that religion can in some cases be a negative force which separates people from others, but that it can just as easily help make people more mature and more connected with others and the world at large; the latter possibility seems to be more of Adler's view. ?

First, Noam Chomsky's "THE ESSENTIAL CHOMSKY" book will bring you up to speed on: Behaviorism's death. It's been a slow death and an even longer funeral procession..(check out Chomsky's 1959 review of Skinner's "Verbal Behavior") Cognitive got it's boost from Prof. Chomsky, but psych will always lack in theory & form until schools of thought are pragmatic, your 2nd book "Republic"..

What?????. I am fully aware of? the history and birth of Guns n' Roses sunshine and was lucky enough to see them at Manchester Apollo in 1987. We all know that Slash wasn't the original guitar player, but the only one that really matters (along with Izzy of course). Even Axl himself acknowledges Slash's contributions to the Guns n' Roses legacy so I suggest you respect his craftmanship, because without Slash Guns would not have become the force they eventually became.

I dont really understand what you are trying to say but if that was to imply that Slash isn't every bit as important to the legend of the band as Axl and? Izzy I say listen to Sweet child, November rain, coma, Estranged, Paradise or any of their other amazing guitar driven songs and try to envision if Buckethead had come up with the riffs, what a joke. Axl and Izzy may have formed the words and melody (and amazing melody and words they were) but without the guitar they would not be classics.
