These flowers are cantharophily or beetle pollinated. These flowers will use? a type of trap, like closing up, to keep the beetle longer. What is so amazing about these flowers, is that the beetle existed 35 million years, before these type of flowers were found on this planet. Which goes to show how new life forms benefitted already existing ones.
