That's because Audacity is a flaming piece of crapware and anyone who says different hasn't REALLY? used it. If you'll notice even in the video, the exact glitch to describe happened. The delete option was greyed-out in the drop-down menu.

hi! i downloaded this software and i have a problem recording. here the situation: from my mixer the master volume is up same with deck A while? im cueing / beatmatching my deck b using my head phones. i was wondering how come Audacity recorded my cueing and beatmatching on deck B? the same time deck A is playing? it shouldnt be recording deck B not until i turn up the volume up for that deck. please help.

This software DOES work, however, the biggest issue was trading the background noise with distorted ruffling sound which you can somewhat here in my "Sweet baby james" song on my channel. You sort of have to play? around with the levels to get it to the best quality you can possibly get.

Ah I misunderstood this. Of course your description says it better but the title says rip. That to me means pulling the vocals out so they're on their own. Still cool tutorial. However there is an add on for Audacity that can do this for you automatically it's called? Center Pan Removal.

To my knowledge there is no free recording software that supports this. With regular USB you can record two mics at once, but for more mics I would suggest getting firewire support if your computer doesn't already have that. I personally use Propellerhead's Record in combination with Gearbox from Line 6 to record the input of my Line 6 Toneport. All you have to do in my case is select "mic 1 & 2" from the source list in Gearbox and set up the? tracks.
