I saw G-N-R live years ago as the opening act for Aerosmith, and personally, I think Axl did them a favor by not showing up. I couldn't believe how unlike his voice on the albums he sounded. He sings like SHIT live. What?????. I am fully aware of the history and birth of Guns n' Roses sunshine and was lucky enough to see them at Manchester Apollo in 1987. We all know that Slash wasn't the original guitar player, but the only one that really matters (along with Izzy of course). Even Axl himself acknowledges Slash's contributions to the Guns n' Roses legacy so I suggest you respect his craftmanship, because without Slash Guns would not have become? the force they eventually became.

I dont really understand what you are trying to say but if that was to imply that Slash isn't every bit as important to the legend of the band as Axl and Izzy I say listen to Sweet child, November rain, coma, Estranged, Paradise or any of their other amazing guitar driven songs and try to envision if Buckethead had come up with the riffs, what a joke. Axl and Izzy may have formed the words and melody (and amazing melody and words they were) but? without the guitar they would not be classics.

I hope now everybody can get the whole reunion idea out of their heads. last month a reporter asked axl rose before the rock n roll hall of fame if there was a chance of a reunion to which he? replied "not in this lifetime" and slash wont get back with GNR because he didnt like axl's attitude. And to be honest if i was Slash, I wouldnt want to go back to Axl after he called Slash a cancer. Thats pretty brutal and totally unprevoked.

Axl was no David Lee Roth but he was most of Guns n Roses. If you ask most people who was Guns n Roses you'd hear Axl and Slash, the others are nameless to most. I think GnR could of been the Rolling Stones had they stayed together and put out consistent albums, and Axl is mostly to blame for? that not happening. Slash is much more popular nowadays then Axl, he's out on the scene where as Axl is basically in hiding. I guess Van Halen will remain the closest thing to? the Stones.

Easy! The lazy ass doesn't prepare himself, he's never done it but he should remind himself he's not 25 anymore, he should rehearse like any other musician. This was probably the first time he sang in almost a year. Also, sound problems due to the rain. And the most important, let's not forget he had bronchitis and montezuma's revenge. RiR was a horrible performance (almost? all of it was just horrid). But apart from that he has his up's and downs, some songs are weak, others he just nails them!

How is everyone talking about nirvana vs gnr nirvana through the combination of all their records might beat gnr in overall sales but appetite is still the best selling debut album of? all time and all genres I love both bands so I don't care I just felt I would pointlessly contribute to the conversation

I kind of disagree with Axl not going to the Rock and Roll hall of fame for his band. Although I don't know all? the details. As for the Nirvana thing, It's not really a Nirvana vs GNR debate because they had different fans generally, but many liked both. I think in its heyday GNR had a slightly larger fanbase than Nirvana as a whole.

Nirvana were massive but never got anywhere near as big as Guns N Roses. Thats just a fact. In 4 years of being signed they sold out stadiums all around the world. Nirvana? never played 1 of their own shows in a stadium.
