This video on how to bind a quilt was so very helpful to me. The camera was placed so that there was no mistaking what was being done by the quilter. The quilter sewed slowly so that I really saw the correct way of making a binding? and then attaching it to the quilt. The mitered corner was also clearly illustrated and explained. Great job, quilters. I am going to use what I just learned to edge my quilt tonight. I have been putting it off but now I am ready!

I just tried a small sample book (memo size as to reduce amount of test paper used) with the gorilla wood glue, let it set, and the pages just came right out. It did nothing to hold anything together. :( That is the second glue i tried. The first one I used I found to be good for memo pads, it was a simple $1 rubber cement type glue. Works great for memo pads and such, but not for book binding. But the gorilla wood glue was useless for me. Thanks for your video.? Will order pva glue soon

String o_O seriously, string. Obviously you've never used E-6000. If glue is good enough for NASA to use for pasting on thermal panels for reentry through earth atmosphere let alone withstanding more g-forces than a human can possibly ever handle, then I think it is probably strong enough for a few? microscopic wood fibers.

glues? generally arent weak, they can be just more unpredictable so many objects that need to be predictable arent glued together such as car frames and the likes of those. books on the other hand are perfect for being glued together. go look up epoxy resin, that stuff is brilliant, incredibly strong.

This is by far the best way to do bindings. I was so confused about binding. I made my first quilt and was ready? to quit until I saw this on PBS. Gynecomastia [Guy-neh-coh-mast-eeah] is what makes me think i? may have a hidden Y chromosome. the initial activation of my ovaries was quite painful & my first menstruation was horrific. my left "breast" has never fully developed, but the right one did. neither of them got very big, and i do not have a "feminine" shape. no hips or anything, definitely more of a rectangle than an hourglass figure. that, combined with my large head, & feet really solidifies my androgynous-trans leaning...

I din't do? the video- but I can tell her trimmer is a Fiskars trimmer, which aren't overly expensive. Honestly, though, it isn't extremely accurate so I went and picked up an Exacto, gullutine style, and IT IS AMAZING! I love it! And, I also have a Cropadile- and I use it for a lot of my binding too. It punches such clean holes IN ANYTHING with next to no effort! Hope I could help!!

I don't know about anyone else but I experienced an issue with the hose becoming cramped in its center. I managed to resolve the? problem by rotating one of the tubes as the hose was twisted for some reason. Hope this helps someone....
