Total, TOTAL overkill. Good Hummus doesn't need mire lemons or any of that other pretentious crap. It needs a high tahini ratio (i.e. lots? of fat), basic seasoning and you need to let the chickpea and sesame flavors shine through. If anything, use a touch of normal lemon juice. The consistency needs to be smooth and creamy. What you made isn't hummus, it's flavored chickpea dip.

sorry but with all do respect you can't make it from canned garbanzo beans. It has to be made? with dried beans soaked overnight then cooked in a pot of boiling water. Try it and you'll taste the difference. Canned tastes like crap!

Why use canned chickpeas, its much nicer when you use fresh let them soak one night with the garlic cloves, then boil them? for up to 2 hours in a tasty stock, (chicken or vegetable, even cubes do) the taste is the difference between heaven and hell.

While keith does have a good point, I am loving this stuff too, thanks for the helpful video... I was told the same thing by an insistant greek friend that is was as per IPA symbols [humus] or "hoo mouse." He did pronounce the h,? but it some language it could be silent. All that aside, things are pronouced differently in different languages, Sauna is a finnish word and invention but we pronounce it as if it were an english word, Examples are endless.

Ive watched a ton of your recipes and have made several, and i really like them. 1 observation though I gotta say.. you use waaaay too much olive? oil in everything! lol Although Xvirg olive oil is a healthy kind of fat, moderation is the key in everything, and you really do not need near as much as you use. Other then that though I love your recipes, thanks. =)
