see siri is a knock off of watson. watson ACTUALLY KNOWS EVERYTHING.? siri is a retarded voice websearch app
By: DasIstNeko. on 24 May 12, 19:58:09
Actually it's sooner than that, but they would? be able to work in a network, and thus would far exceed the computation capabilities of modern man.
By: Ryomaru. on 22 May 12, 16:58:43
The original quote? was off too. Kaku said that right now, the smartest robot is as smart as a lobotomized cockroach. He and others have also said that it is very likely a computer will pass the Turing Test by 2029. What both you and Ayplus are missing is that thnks to Moore's law, $1000 worth of computers will have the same power as a brain by 2029. The problem isn't hardware, it's software. Computers can already do math a trillion times faster than us, but that's not smart, that's a computer.
By: Ayplus. on 20 May 12, 01:03:12
No,? they're just smarter than you thus far.
By: ThreeGuysOneMic. on 19 May 12, 22:57:47
they already can,? fucking idiot.
By: JichiranoiStudios. on 19 May 12, 18:48:18
just impressive? .3.
By: Metroidvania1981. on 19 May 12, 07:37:49
The impressive part is not it filtering through the information. Its the fact that the questions aren't typed into? it but that it understand natural spoken language. Look at something like Siri on the iphone. Its pretty cool but doens't understand what I am saying about 75% of the time. Watson would be right about 99% of the time. Of course its more expensive and a lot larger than an iphone :)
By: Ayplus. on 19 May 12, 06:47:00
Moore's Law??
By: Evette Talbot. on 19 May 12, 03:57:01
There is simply no data open to the public? that can validate this claim. Sorry.
By: Ayplus. on 18 May 12, 23:59:40
I still dont get it, its a computer its only as smart as the information that it was programmed to contain, its RAM is limited. As? far as I know the human brain has an unlimited capacity for information. Therefore, the computer, with its smaller capacity would have a simpler time filtering through its information, while a human would obviously take a bit longer to filter through his/her larger capacity of information.
By: Ayplus. on 18 May 12, 23:54:48
Do u also kno that 20 years after that? in the year 2050, computers/machines will be just as smart as humans, able to compute at the seem speed
By: KCKwarsick. on 18 May 12, 02:24:26
Because Jeopardy's "questions" are in the form of an? answer, so the contestants must respond in question form.
By: best496. on 16 May 12, 22:23:23
Okay one? thing I don't understand is why do they say what is' or who is', before the answer?
By: RespectMyHate. on 15 May 12, 05:08:57
I would love to see the pope on Jeopardy, I mean if you're so close to? God, you should be able to win and shit.
By: FFScantgetadamnname. on 14 May 12, 00:22:19
Does? it have to sound EXACTLY like HAL 9000?
By: OrobinLieu. on 13 May 12, 22:41:23
That is probably one of the biggest understatements? I've ever heard. Watson has 16384 GB of RAM, definitely more than a "wiki with voice synthesizer"
By: itzBakies. on 13 May 12, 19:23:36
That would be the "K Computer" in Japan. much? more powerful
By: aydintb. on 13 May 12, 06:56:29
it is wiki with voice synthesizer.. that's all.?
By: Trunks7890. on 12 May 12, 17:31:22
i wouldnt call it destroyed... ken put up? a good fight
By: Evette Talbot. on 11 May 12, 01:37:15
In his lecture about the world in 2030, Michio Kaku has said that smartest robot alive is dumber? than a retarded, lobotomized cockroach. I'm not too worried. ;P
By: skiottawa. on 09 May 12, 01:22:23
Destroys all humans... that was a game of trivia. Where was? the Robocop style destruction?
By: ShoujoMeiro. on 09 May 12, 01:22:06
How to beat Watson: Q: What is the command? to format a hard drive? A: What is fsck -f -y /dev /hdbl
By: 09mpotato. on 09 May 12, 01:12:46
Nope, If you look at the articles, Watson is NOT connected to the internet.?
By: airtioteclint. on 08 May 12, 19:20:33
Is Watson hooked up to the internet? Also if it's directly hooked up to the? clicking thing it would have the advantage of speed over a human who has to click it physically.
